May the 4th Be With You

So, it's May 4th and a Friday so I thought I should do something fun, maybe something around Star Wars. Now, I'm not a big Star Wars fan. I had to do research to find some interesting factoids. During that research, I found a quote by a character played by Liam Neeson called Qui-Gon Jinn. The quote says,  "Remember: your focus determines your reality."

The Bible even has something similar in Proverbs that says "for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he."

Well, no matter who said it or how they said it, it's still true. How we think, what we focus on, does dictate our reality.

star wars wisdomIf you think that you're a failure, you're probably going to be a failure. If you think that a certain task cannot be done, that it's impossible, then don't even start it. You've already shot yourself in the foot.

Conversely, if you think positive thoughts, if you think that you can do it, you have a much better chance at success.

It's just like the old computer adage - garbage in, garbage out. What we concentrate on, what we think about the most, will become the prevalent things manifested in our lives.

This is especially important for those of us that work alone. We have to keep our thoughts focused on the end goal. On what's important. Don't start thinking negatively about little complications that arise.

It's up to you to take control of your thoughts and keep those thoughts positive. In other words, think about what you think about.

Okay, so in my research, I come upon this little meme with Star Wars wisdom. And I just really liked that first one. It caught my attention. However, Chewbacca's quote is equally as deep and thought-provoking.

Think about it.
